2% Wire Loss Chart
In a low voltage system, the maximum voltage drop in the power cables should be less than 2%. For a nominal 12 volt circuit, a 2% loss represents 0.25 volts. This chart estimates the maximum distance of a two conductor copper cable from the power source to the load resulting in a 2% voltage drop.
